YOUTH CAN DO IT!
Let's meet up to shake up Europe!
2022 is the European Year of Youth (EYY), shedding a light on the importance of European youth to build a better future – greener, more inclusive and digital. With plenty of opportunities for young generations to learn, share their vision, meet people and engage in activities all over Europe, the European Year of Youth is the moment to move forward with confidence and hope in a post-pandemic perspective.
The Renew Europe group in the European Parliament wants to be active in order to listen, raise the voice and involve the youth as key partners of the decision-making process.
On 11 & 12 July 2022, we invite 140 young people from all across Europe to Brussels - the political heart of the EU - to discuss together with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) what challenges young people are facing in Europe and brainstorm together about specific policy solutions.
Why should you join?
During this two-day event you will meet a lot of young people, you will interact with our MEPs, you will visit the European Parliament and you will engage in interesting discussions about youth employment, entrepreneurship, mental health, inclusion, environment and many other relevant issues.
Event highlights
During the public part of the event, Renew Europe will present the Renew4Youth project and kick off discussions on key challenges that youth are facing across Europe. Young activists, state representatives, MEPs and, of course, all the participants will actively engage in these debates. We will finish the first day with an open-air dinner and party.
The second day, the participants will be divided into working groups covering a diverse range of policy areas in order to identify together, through a meetup format, challenges that young people face and come up with specific policy solutions. After discussing these issues, you will have the chance to pitch directly your proposals to MEPs and decision-makers.
Additionally, your proposals will be pivotal for the elaboration of the Renew4Youth Manifesto, a document enlisting the main priorities of our political group for empowering young Europeans. Our MEPs will base their work on these proposals, doing their best to shifts from words to action, delivering tangible results!
